| An evening with three ensembles of top Finnish musicians performing with internationally distinguished jazz musicians. Swedish bass player Anders Jormin and drummer Jim Black and sax player Seamus Blake from the USA are at the pinnacle of their profession. Anders Jormin has an honorary doctorate from the Sibelius Academy and is a good friend and frequent visitor, while Jim Black and Seamus Blake are visiting the Sibelius Academy for the first time. The concert forms part of Sibis Jazz Camp, organised by the Jazz Department at the Sibelius Academy to bring international jazz musicians to work with local teachers and to keep up with the latest trends. |
